Grammar Guru

"Why does that sign say, 'Beware of Dog'?" Zach asked as we pulled into our driveway today and he pointed to our fence. Aaron began to explain what beware means but Zach interrupted him and said, "I know what beware means," in an exasperated tone. He continued on saying it doesn't make sense to say Beware of Dog but that instead it should be Beware of the Dog, unless of course your dog's name is Dog, then it could say Beware of Dog. Does anyone else have a five year old who corrects grammar?

10 Years!

Aaron and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year on January 3rd. We left the kids with Aaron's mom and went to Dana Point for a couple of days. This is the first time we've been away from the kids since Cami was born. We had a great time, we stayed in a beautiful place called the Blue Lantern Inn, it was very relaxing. We also went dolphin and whale watching which was lots of fun, it is great to be out on the ocean.

Cuddly Kids

We sometimes find our kids asleep in the strangest poses, they also get lonely sleeping alone and will sometimes just sleep in the same bed. Here's a funny picture of them asleep at Aaron's parents' house.

A New Baby

One thing that made Christmas extra busy and special this year was that we were all anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest niece. Bethany's official due date had passed by Christmas day so we were all on pins and needles waiting for the moment she would go into labor. Rebekah Jane was born to Bethany and Kevan on December 27th. Rebekah is named after Aaron's other sister, Rebekah, who was in the delivery room and got a huge surprise. Aaron and I rushed back into Orange County once again to meet her. Aaron's brother Andrew came down that weekend also so we were privileged to have the whole family at Aaron's parents' church that Sunday.

A Busy Christmas

This year we had a very busy and full Christmas. We were fortunate to have my aunt, uncle, and grandpa visiting from Oregon. Aaron's sister was also here all the way from the Dominican Republic so we were traveling back and forth between our two families trying to spend time with everyone. Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas day at our house.
