April Trip

In April, Aaron was off track and we always try to take at least one little trip when he is off so this time we headed off to Morro Bay. This was a jam packed trip, full of visits to lots of people and we wished we had planned more time just to hang out in Morro Bay. We camped there in our trailer at a really beautiful campground and the weather was absolutely perfect. I don't have pictures of everything we did on the trip so I'll just have to tell you about it. First, we stopped and visited Aaron's grandparents, this is about 4 hours from our house on the way to Morro Bay. Then when we arrived in Morro Bay and settled into our campground we headed over to Aaron's cousin's house. Aaron's cousin, Steve, moved to Morro Bay the previous September with his family. We also got to visit with another cousin, Steve's sister, Andrea, who was visiting as well. Then we were joined by two other cousins who go to college nearby. It turned out to be a little mini family reunion which was a lot of fun.

This is us out to lunch with Aaron's grandparents.

We went to the beach in Morro Bay, the water was so cold, I didn't even put Cami's swimsuit on her but she got soaking wet anyway. The kids had so much fun and the beach was beautiful with tons of great seashells to find.

On the way back home, we stopped at Aaron's grandparents again. This time to pick up a 1973 Ford Courier Aaron inherited from his grandpa. So this pregnant wife got to drive an old truck with no power steering or air conditioning all the home (the only other option was to tow the trailer which I'm definitely not going to do.) Fortunately we broke up the trip some more, stopping at Robyn and Bryan's house on the home which is about 2 hours south of Aaron's grandparents. Robyn was my roommate in college for 3 years and we always enjoy a good visit with their family. We stayed overnight there, then the next day we went to Aaron's parents. Aaron's brother's wife, Melissa was in town with her kids. We had a giant get together with all the cousins that day. Aaron's sister, Bethany came over with her 2 kids and his other brother's wife, Alice came over with her 3 kids. We have a total of 11 kids on that side of the family, 8 and under. There are 2 more babies on the way also. It was a great day and a nice conclusion to a busy but fun trip.
